{tragic}

Okay, so I stole this widget from Madeline's blog!  It is so sad and frustrating.
Our Summer vacation is coming up.  We plan it a year in advance and it is so nice to spend an entire week at a little beach near the Destin area with my family from New Orleans.  Now we are all anxiously watching the reports to see if oil will wash up in the panhandle any day.  As my sister says...tick tock...

I'm so sickened by the oil spill...and even more disgusted at the lack-of-urgency by those In Charge of clean up.

God bless those effected by it. Prayers for you all.

It is just a nightmare. Thanks for keeping it in front of our eyes and I hope you get your vacation in before it gets to the Panhandle shores...

I know sweet Petunia, isn't it just the worst? Makes me so sad and angry. This summer just isn't going to be the same... :(

Good for you on putting up the widget Miss Petunia. The whole situation is just so horrific, every day we all pray for it to get better and it seems like it is getting worse.

Hopefully you all will be able to enjoy your vacation, I know you are excited about it.

Sending you a smile,
tp

We've been absolutely sick over the spill. Poor Jindal looks like he's going to have a heart attack. We have friends who own restaurants that are really taking a hit. I'm so angry that I just can't watch anymore news. The poor wildlife. We leave for New Orleans for a week on Saturday. We'll probably go visit fam in Biloxi also. I heard it hasn't washed ashore in MS (thank goodness). But dead sea turtles have been spotted along MS coastline. It makes my stomach turn. Wishing best of luck in regards to your family trip.

Oh Petunia, this makes me so sad. I know so many people who can't remember a summer without a trip along the coast of the Gulf. You're right - tragic!

This is tragic, I haven't been following it, but it just seems so unnecessary and preventable.

Isn't it lovely?! We may luck out this year, but no way are we going to put down a deposit for next. Not with all that oil still spewing! It's eventually going to land somewhere. :(

We just got back Monday from Watercolor and there were no signs of oil (despite what the media was saying)! The beaches were gorgeous and the seafood was delicious! We tracked the oil spill on www.noaa.gov. It shows a projected 72-hour map of where the oil is.
