date night

While Lil Petunia was enjoying her sleepover at a friend's, Hubby and I had a very rare date night!  We decided that we need to start doing this once a month.  Hubs made reservations at one of our old-time favorite places that we hadn't been to in a couple of years.  It is a little restaurant in a cottage in Stuart named "11 Maple Street".  The food here is scrumptious!
Here is the quaint entrance:

We had the most delicious warm salad topped with fried calamari and white beans.  Hubby tried a new entree--tenderloin of Elk.  It was extremely tender, melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and has half the fat of beef!  I would highly recommend this if you ever come across it on a menu.
And of course---dessert!  Guess who dug in before I had a chance to snap a picture???

What a great pic of you two! I think date nights are very, very important. There has to be some time to reconnect in the social way. Looks like you had a great time. Also Elk is great! Seems that the cake was too...

I so enjoy date nights. It's such a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with the man you married. I find that I always walk away a little bit more in love ~ it's fabulous!
