Do you by chance remember ever seeing A House Without a Christmas Tree? It was almost like a stage play on TV and starred Jason Robards as the father who wouldn't allow a Christmas tree in the house. It finally came out on DVD last year but I haven't seen it on television in years. It's one of my all time favorites.
