{Milly review and tell me what's on your toes...}

Went to try on that Milly dress that I have been waiting to see.  It sold out during pre-order online everywhere!  Well, I was sadly disappointed.  It looks okay on, although to tell you the truth I wasn't crazy about the way it hugged my tummy.  The big problem was that this dress is made out of a COTTON or cotton-like material.  Felt like 100% cotton shell with a heavy polyester lining, although to be honest I didn't look to see the contents.  The lining made it feel heavy but I just wasn't expecting a slubby blanket-feel to it.  For one of Milly's pricier dresses ($550) I expected a lot more!  Even at 25% off F&F discount I wasn't interested.  I thought it would be made out of a dressier, more substantial, non-fading material.  I should have taken a close-up photo, but trust me--the material didn't look very good.  An exquisite design ruined by cotton!  AND even though it looked aqua online and looks turquoise here, it looked green to me IRL.  Sniff...

Essie "enuff is enuff"--IRL a bright corally red.

Did you get a new spring pedicure?
What color is on your toes?? (the name if you know it)

i can understand your frustration, but i have to say this dress looks better on you than on the model. *shuddering at the high price of cotton* Love you pedicure. i am getting mine next week, but I don't think I could post my ugly toes. Will let you know the color (smile)

Got my pedi on Fri. Yeah for happy toes! I think the dress looks great but agree that is waaay too much for a cotton dress. It would likely wrinkle in your Fla humidity too.

I haven't done much the past few days, but am about to get my toes done! I think I am going with Tasmanian Devil Made me do it. A fun orange/red. Fun and bright for spring.

You have the cutest figure. Everything looks so great on you!

I'm wearing a bright, but not too bright, pink polish right now.

I know exactly what you mean about the Milly ruining dresses. They did a dress this holiday collection that was 890 dollars and it was COTTON with some rhinestone belt thing. Everyone who came in the store was like, uhhh no thanks.

I just got "pretty in pink" on my toes! how appropriate :)

The dress looks beautiful in the picture and I love the color but I totally understand the fabric not working out for you! Too bad when you think something is going to be perfect and it disappoints! And if I recall correctly, I'm sporting OPI Dress to Empress! :)

I just got a pedi last week and used OPI's "Feelin' Hot, Hot, Hot" and I LOVE it!

The dress looks good on you, but I can understand your disappointment in the fabric. That is annoying. I had a pedicure last week and got OPI Red Hot Gift.

The dress looks gorgeous on you! I hate that about the fabic. That's aggravating. My spring pedi color is OPI Dutch Tulips.

Have a great day!

Aw that's too bad about the dress! I just got a pedicure and I have OPI Feelin' Hot Hot Hot on. It is a very bright pink, but I love it. It brightens up my day :)

frustrating that it wasn't all that you dreamed it would be, but go you on putting your foot down and knowing what you feel is and isn't worth your money. at the end of the day, for better or worse, after we buy an article of clothing, we have it for awhile- better to buy things that you love and fit they way you want, than to just buy something and *have* to wear it to get your money's worth and just end up feeling guilty.

Love the Essie Polish--great Pedicure! I'm going to look for that color!

Your toes look so pretty! I'm still obsessed with my new Essie Exotic Liras, but my next pedicure will likely be OPI in Chick Flick Cherry or Got the Blues for Red.

I have to say that I think the dress looks great on you, but it only matters how you feel in it :) I don't get pedicures because I am super picky about people touching my nails and feet so I do my own. Right now I am wearing Twisted Pink by Sally Hansen. It is a great bright hot pink color - probably better for summer than spring, but it is all the same in Texas!

Great pedicure! I do my own nails. A woman who lived in my sister's neighborhood went for a pedicure and contracted a flesh-eating bacteria. She ended up in the hospital, had to have her limbs amputated, and still died. She had two small children. It was very, very sad. Ever since then, I have vowed to do it myself!

I think you look stunning in that dress. I don't see the tummy issue at all. You look amazing. However, I don't know if I could survive wearing a heavy fabric during the summers in Florida. The humidity in the South limits what I willing to suffer for fashion. I just tried on a pair of really great white slacks with the same problem; too much fabric for summer.

Nice pedi!!! Love that color with your skin tone. I just got a pedi on Monday. I'm wearing OPI A Dozen Rosas. I love pinks/reds...

Love the dress on you, but you have to love it, too, so if you don't - good for you for saying no! such a bummer, though!

I am literally the dark horse here, because I have OPI's Light My Sapphire on my toes. I always love navy in the spring and summer - including on my toes!!

i think the dress is cute, but if its not the right marterial, it can be ruined!

I got a pedicure on Saturday and chose Essie's Fiesta! Its a bright pink, perfect for Spring!

I did a self-pedi last weekend- Chanel Dragon on my toes, a very bright red, and Opi bubble bath on the fingers, a light pink ( I only like light colors for the hands.) You look great in that dress by the way, the color is fab for summer pity the fabric was a let down.

The dress is so pretty & looks good on you. Too bad the fabric is not good.

I desperately need a pedicure. The color on my toes is the remnants of color changing nail polish from Del Sol. It's a frosty blue-ish in the shade and a dusty purple in the sunlight.

Don't sweat it! You look better in that dress than the model does! But.. I can relate to how you feel. There are times when I was ready to slap my money down for a jacket or shirt and after trying it on was TOTALLY dissapointed with how it looked on me.

Oh... and no pedicure yet. (Have NEVER had one).... Yet LOL!!

You look adorable! That dress is beautiful :)

I actually swore off nail polish last year because it's so bad for the environment! I have a couple bottles that I'm still finishing off, but after that, no more polish for me. It was easier than I imagined, actually. Whenever I look at my unpainted toes I think about how I'm doing my little part to be green. :) Have a great day!

Love to color. I need a spring pedicure myself.

Too bad about the material, the dress looks really pretty.

That dress looks beautiful on you! If you're uncomfortable with your tummy (only God knows why?!?!) get some spanx - they're magic!!!

I'm wearing OPI's "That's Hot! Pink" on my little piggies!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have the same polish on right now!!!! I had pink until last Friday...we had a Junior League event on Sat and we all had to wear red so I went with this color for my toes! Too funny.
