{bleh....}

My friend B and I at an after-work function this Tuesday.
Sorry for the lack of eye-makeup, but there were tears involved.  We were attending a celebration of the life of one of my long-time co-workers who died last Friday (probably why I haven't posted much this week...bleh) totally unexpectedly.  He passed away in his sleep--he was only 48!  He was single--no wife--no children, so when he didn't show up for work they sent the police to his home.  We were not expecting this.  He was an anesthetist at the hospital, very intelligent, and very very funny.  Everyone liked him.  I don't even know what to say....I am sick over it.

Anyway...here I just took a pic of the Light Pewter Rosette tee that is in some of the J Crews right now.  I was running in to return something today, saw it, and took it to go.  I already have the Shell color and think I really don't need another--pretty sure this one will be going right back where it came from.  Once again I am just BLEH over this grey and beige color scheme, but JC keeps persisting.

That's so so sad.

On a lighter note, I'm glad you didn't blur out your eyes like you do your feet when you aren't in the right shoes.

Very sorry for the loss of your co-worker. 48 is just far too young.

Your t-shirt necklace combo is perfect. I love how the muted soft color of the t is balanced by the eye-catching necklace. Perfect.

So sorry to hear about your friend and co-worker!

On another note--I tried nursing for a semester...and I couldn't even get through chem...so that was a big NO. haha But I know i'd love the money and extra money. But I am going to school to be a teaacher and I currently work at a retail store. So, I am looking for something part time but I am unsure of my availabilty because of summer school.

I love that J.Crew shirt! Gap had one kind of similar either last summer or fall...but it wasn't nearly as cute.

I am so sorry to hear about your colleague and friend. That is just terrible.

I would love to find the rosette tee in gray. I just got the one in shell in an xs and it was plenty long. Talk about sizing inconsistency.

I'm so sorry about your friend. That is so sad and scary. I hope you're feeling a little better today.

I know what you mean about grey. I have a few gray items in my closet but it's kinda blah. I like color but grey seems to be everywhere at the mall. I can only handle so much.

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your co worker. What a shock at a fairly young age. Thanks for the photo of the new rose tee. Not sure about this one. I have the shell and the white so I can't justify another one. Happy Mother's Day!

I’m sorry for your loss. Being from New Orleans I try to remember the concept of Jazz funerals. The time to mourn with the sad jazz because we will miss them but when we approach the cemetery they play the happy jazz. We begin to dance and shout in celebration. We’re happy that our loved one is going home (heaven). That is the most beautiful way to look at life. We mourn the loss of our loved one but look at death as a celebration. Just like we celebrate baby showers, weddings, graduations, etc., we need to remember that they made it happily home. We’re the ones who haven’t graduated yet but one day we’ll be home and see them again. I hope this encourages and uplifts your spirits today. Sending love from one NOLA sister to another. “Oh when the Saints, come marching in......”

I'm taking your advice and I'm not going to paint the wardrobe. Thanks for your input. It really helped make my decision.
