{this is embarrassing...}

....but I think I just bought old lady shoes today!

I was running through a mall on the other side of the county today because a friend had tipped me off to a sale(haha).  I had already run a few errands earlier in the day and my shoes were to the point of killing my little toes.  They were about to give me some serious blisters.  I still had several places to go and was far from home, so I stopped into a store called Easy Spirit.  I think that I thought I was in Aerosoles or Naturalizer which I have seen in my local mall before.  I don't think I have ever been in this store before, but they had some very comfy looking shoes on sale and I was desperate....so I bought them and put them on immediately.  I was on the phone with my sister and when I mentioned where I was she kinda laughed a little......
Have you ever done this before??  Are they that bad??  They have a funny-looking little wedge heel which was the perfect height to wear with these long pants.  Oh, well, you can't really see them under pants or jeans and they are soooooo comfy and I don't have blisters.  I might get used to them!
Even funnier--when I went to look for a website to link to--there are my shoes right smack on the front page of EASY SPIRIT!  Woo-hoo!

I have a pair of Naturalizer heels for work that are like slippers. So comfy and, as my mother would say, "good for your poor feet!"

Ha Ha... I've done the same thing! I was in San Diego with my sis and a friend. My feet were hurting so bad, I paid $40 for a pair of flip flops. :)

You crack me up! They are cute shoes but I wear white socks with my crocs, so I may not be the best judge.

COMFORT over glamor!!! I think they are not that bad. They could be much much worse.

Too funny! I really think that the new shoes look fine, especially with those cute painted toes! Sometimes comfort can be a very good thing, especially in the heat of summer.

I've done the same thing when my feet are killing me and I'm shopping. It wasn't worth it to walk around in pain!

They aren't that bad. Sure, they aren't as cute as your Kate Spade heels in the post below, but sometimes, you just need a comfy shoe.

But aren't you the same gal that blurred out her feet when her shoes didn't go with her outfit?

I see you couldn't bare to post your face in this one ;)

kidding. haha.

Hilarious ... the older i get the more I just want to wear comfy shoes. i have several pairs of killer louboutins that i never wear because they are too painful. i am currently on the hunt for a cute pair of cole haan "nike air" slingback pumps that my friend claire wore in my wedding. they were adorable and so comfy!

I find that with shoes like that, they look old-lady if you wear dowdy clothes with them. But if you wear your usual cute, fun outfits, they look great. So they aren't the pair of pink peep toe pumps that will make an outfit, but they are a great pair of everyday shoes to add. Enjoy!!

I don't think they're bad at all, and I agree with Heidi that it all depends on what you wear with them. Comfort is really a big thing for me as I near 40, so I am constantly on the hunt for shoes that are comfy yet still stylish. :)

I bought the most hidious shoes in Italy (similar situation). I wore them out. They were the most comfy shoes I've ever owned. They were indeed "old lady" shoes and many "old ladies" commented on them. I believe that was the turning point. I'm currently wearing leopard flip flops, jeans, and a Piggly Wiggly T-shirt. Scary, I know.

Hehehe, this is hilarious! I know the feeling of having blisters and having to get out of the shoes causing them ASAP!

I have to admit, I am guilty of teh same thing. I have bought some "untrendy clothes adn shoe son a sopt b/c my trendy ones gave me some sorts of problems- torn hem, broken heels, blistered feet. I do wear those purchases around the house afterwards, lol!:)

Dont' worry...I bought a pair of Aerosoles for work, and now I get emails every day! I don't think they are bad, and you could NEVER look like an old lady!

Have a wonderful day!

Blister-free environment. That's all I ask for.

Oh yes! Been there and done that! Last summer in Dallas, I was at a Conference all day and my heels were killing me! It was all I could do to get out of there and find the nearest Mall and a pair of pricey flipflops!!!

Sometimes you have do what you have to do! :) They really don't look bad and even better, saved you from more pain. If you don't wear them at other times, you can always keep them in the car for emergency use.

oh yes, I think we've all been in that boat before we are running around in killer shoes and get to the point of having to run into the nearest comfy shoe place just to get some relief- I aquired a pair of birkenstocks this way one time.... My mom is absolutely famous for doing this as well!
