{a vacation fit for a princess....a disney princess that is!}

Yay!  I have our little mini vacation all booked.  We'll be staying here:
and visiting here:
and here:
Even though I've been there a few times, I learned some useful tidbits of information by reading and looking up topics on Disney's Q & A forum.  I hadn't even known that this existed!  I love being prepared, so this site reminded me to make advanced reservations for every single meal--even breakfast at the hotel!  Turns out breakfast was pretty booked up already and my choices were limited-- 7:55 am or 10:15 am.  I would have been quite upset if we had strolled down to the restaurant just to be told that we couldn't have a table for breakfast!
We also booked a Princess lunch in the castle in "Norway" that looks PERFECT for Lil P.  Evidently this is the 2nd most popular dining reservation after Cinderella's Castle (which we've been to a couple of times already).

Here's a link to the site (useful whether or not you have children) if you'll be planning a visit to Disney in the future:

Anyone planning a Disney visit this Summer?
We haven't been to Epcot in ages---anyone have suggestions for not-to-be-missed attractions there?
Any other suggestions or hints??

We went to Disney in Feb. and had a great character breakfast at the Polynesian. It was really fun and the food was excellent. We also did the meal plan and it was a huge savings and made dining much easier. Mousesavers.com has more tips and restaurant reviews. I am a big planner too! Have a great time!!

Have a wonderful time! I have not been to DW in ages (used to go when I lived closer). Now Disneyland in Anaheim is a quicker trip for us - we went last year. My children really enjoyed the Princess lunch at Ariel's Grotto! I am a planner too... it's good to get those dining reservations in advance!

In Epcot? Definitely do the California Adventure thing I forget what it's called- the ride right next to the 'land'- it's like you're sitting in a paraglider and it's beautiful. Stay away from the fast space ride- everyone gets sick in there. THe car ride is faboo if you like speed :)

Have fun! We'll be going there after school lets out.

I have to tell you one more thing that we enjoyed, especially if you have a princess lover with you! Make a reservation for the dinner with Cinderella's family in the Grand Floridian (how convenient!). It was so much fun and the step-mother and step-sisters are a riot. Confirm your reservations when you arrive and check into your room and sometimes they will help you get a special table in the middle of the room, where they will all dance. Very fun meal!

Going there for my honeymoon June 27th to July 5th! Staying at the Grand Floridian too - it's great!

Epcot has a great Space Mission ride - but might not be ok for lil P... Steal away and ride it by yourself - it's worth it!

Thanks for the advice on the reservations - we haven't booked anything yet! YIKES!!!

Aww, at first I thought you were staying at the Del! That first picture looks very similar to our landmark hotel down here...which is very close to where I live! I haven't been to Epcot since I was in high school, but I had fun when I was there. I hope you have a fabulous time! Take LOADS of pictures to share with us. :)

This will be such fun! I have not been to Disney since we lived in JAX and I was five. We drove down for the day and after just ONE hour mother and father said they would buy me ANYTHING in the entire park if we could go. Of course I picked out some dumb Cinderella figurine. Then, three weeks later we were invited to go again with friends for a VIP day but mother refussed. Well, these friends were bff with the Bush family and little did she know they closed half the park down for them! Mother has never regretted not going to something so much!

The Grand Floridian serves tea in the restaurant in the lobby every day starting at 2 p.m.. Reservations are definitely recommended, but I've seen walk ups get seated. Would be a great place to wear Lily.

Oh I am jealous! We went last Jun and I am dying to go back (will wait until Baby M is a little older)! We loved the princess lunch at Epcot. The Cinderella dinner at the Grand Floridian and breakfast at Chef Mickey's was great too! Soarin at Epcot is a great ride! The fireworks display at night is great too. Our princess was scared of the noise so, we had to leave early :( We are HUGE Disney fans...best family vacation yet!

How fun! We are planning to do a family trip to Disney when my nephew turns 5. I think we are all looking forward to it more than he is. We've got a few years still but I can't wait.

Can't wait for the recap!

I went to the Norway breakfast last year - your daughter will LOVE seeing all the princesses and you get to have a nice photoshoot with one as you walk in.

Be sure to see Soarin' in Epcot - it's one of those rides that the whole family will love. Also, they recently updated Spaceship Earth, so that's always fun!

And don't forget to check out all the Lilly in one of the Grand Floridian gift shops on the second floor :)

I love Disney! My favorite rides at Epcot are Soarin' and Test Track. Get there early to get a fastpass because they lines get really long, especially at Epcot where there aren't many rides, and they sometimes sell out of them, usually by the afternoon.
I have been to the princess breakfast at Norway and it is fabulous! Also, going to tea at the Grand Floridian is one of my favorite things. They have a special princess menu for the little ones. Have fun!!
