New Moon

Well, I had to put New Moon down for a couple of days.  I was too upset after page 84 to read further!  I miss Edward!  Boo-hoo.  Seriously, I have been in a bad mood about it, so he better come back soon or.......or else!
The good news is that the Twilight DVD release date is March 21st.  I've heard that the movie is very different from the book so I'm prepared!
Also, New Moon is set to be released in movie theaters on November 21st!
Update:  New Moon does get better towards the end.   I am now into Eclipse and holding my breath!

I think you'll like the movie...True, they did have to boil down A LOT of plot but all things considered, they did a pretty good job. It's not going to win an Academy Award but if you like the books I think you'll be pleased.

I agree with the previous comment:) The book gets a lot better. I was the same way you are when I was reading it. I didn't like it when they removed Edward.

Aren't those books so addicting!?! I quickly went from one to the next to the next and before I knew it I had read the whole series. I thought the movie was pretty good!

Rips your heart out, doesn't it? Just keep reading. You have to keep reading to get to Edward. ;)

I'm so addicted to the books...after being turned onto them by my 15 year old sister! I will be starting New Moon here shortly

Keep going! "New Moon" definitely has its challenges, but I think you'll appreciate it more once you've read all 4 books.

The movie was better than I'd expected . . . not nearly as nuanced as the book (how could it be?), but entertaining and funny. And, um, not hard on the eyes either.

Part of me wants to see the movie. The other part of me sees it as very wrong to be Mrs. Robinson with Edward.

I felt the same way, but I finished New Moon this morning and let me tell you, it gets GOOD!

You sound just like my group of friends that have all read the books. They are OBSESSED with Edward! I'm going to start reading them soon - I don't want to be the one missing out!
