A big thank you to all of my Mac tecchies out there who gave me some splendid advice! I downloaded Firefox and was off listing away on Ebay within seconds--woo-hoo!
Just an added comment because I'm always wanting to dispel myths that Apple products aren't superior. It's not Safari's fault (aka Apple's fault) that certain web sites don't work. It's because the people who program these web sites do so for the majority, which still happens to be PC users. They don't bother to fully trouble shoot the web sites for Mac/Safari users. This is especially true with older web sites.

Yaya! Isn't that funny that firefox is faster than safari when safari is made for mac!? Go figure. Xoxo-BLC
I had that same problem with ebay too when I first got my mac. Glad you got it figured out! :)
