the iPhone/Blackberry survey continues

I'm still conducting market research as to which phone I should buy, so yes, I still have the flip phone.  It hasn't completely fallen apart yet, thank goodness!
I've received input from lots of people here and at work and if I would tally it up then the Blackberry would certainly win.  But I'm thinking that maybe most people just haven't had the chance to own an iPhone and maybe if they had one then they would like it.  Can you see where I'm going with this?  I'm LOOKING for reasons why I should get the iPhone.  I want to like it.  My computer is a Mac, so it would make sense.  But the results seem dismal.  I've scoured dozens of websites looking for answers and I'm still not sure.  I keep seeing those same words "bad reception" and "hard to text"...  and those are really the most important features to me.  The other stuff is just for fun.
Maybe we'' ll try it.  AT&T gives you 30 days to cancel the 2-year contract that they make you sign.  I wonder if Apple will let you return the iPhone if you don't like it??  Anybody know??

I don't know, but Apple seems sort of evil-empirish with it's "iphone can only be AT&T or else" claims. So I am still voting BB.

I'm with ya! I have a mac - I LOVE my mac. Often I bring my Mac to work and work off that rather than my PC. I wanted to like the iPhone, I tried so hard. The app for the light saber is super cool, and of course there's the cowbell app and the music tagger - but really those are worthless and don't help you text or keep a call connected.

I beleive the iPhone comes with ONLY a 14 DAY return policy.

Try if you may... but read the fine print! And go ahead and know what color black berry you want! =)I have a red one! Go Hogs!

Mrs D ~~ I am kinda annoyed that I would have to switch over to AT&T. I really like Sprint.

Gracie ~~ Aah, thank you--14 days? Oh that should be good enough. I have no problem returning something if it stinks!

I know I left you a message before, but I say Blackberry all the way. I really do have an issue with the iPhone reception.

Hello! This is so funny that you are posting about this because last night D hooked up my new blackberry! It is quite nice I must say, but, on the other hand, so is the iPhone! I don't think you can go wrong either way!

Have a great weekend!

I'm a big Apple fan, but I have the BlackBerry. I have Verizon phone service, so I didn't have any choice.

I do like it alot, too much! I'm always looking at it. It's an obsession!

Our lead desktop tech here has an iphone...he loves it. As far as returning the iphone, I would call the nearest Apple store and ask them about it, they're really helpful there.
Two of my favorite features that he's showed me are the white noise generator (with sounds like running water, thunder and rainforest) and this thing that's like a magic 8 ball, except you can use it to decide where to go. It's pretty cool. You can tell it the type of food and price range you want, and then you shake the phone, and it comes up with a location of a food place to go to. It's pretty neat. :)

You know you are itching to go iphone-do it. My feeling is if it doesn't work out switch back, but at least you can say you tried it. Didn't all of our parents tell us to at least to give something a try!

Love the Chanel shoes/sandals.

I went through the SAME exact quandry... I ended up going with the iPhone, but I can't tell you how much I curse the texting features on that thing... I love the realistic web browsing, but that's about it. If my iPhone ever dies, I'm going straight to bberry and never looking back... Hope that helps!

I'm so with you on the Sprint thing! I have a Blackberry and I use Sprint. I've had Sprint service for 10 years and I LOVE it. I don't think I could switch.

Okay I got the IPhone a couple of weeks ago -- love it! Hubby has a blackberry and it looks so much harder to use (I'm sure it's not!).
