{more J Crew review}

Here are some more pics from my visit to J.Crew last weekend--
The corsage tee arrived in new colors. If it weren't such a pain to iron the little petals after every wash I'd be tempted to get this top in every color. It is so flattering that if you haven't bought at least one--you should!!
Love this bright aqua color--just wondering why it wasn't released before now. It is very bright IRL, as is the new bright pink color (Flamingo??), which makes me think Spring/Summer.

I liked the Dark Charcoal color also, although the sheerness of the fabric is more noticeable in this color. Wondering if this would match the Michelle Merino Cardigan in the Dark Charcoal color?

Waiting to see the middle bracelet IRL!:

Also LOVE the necklace below...in fact I like all of the individual pieces in this outfit:
What do you think??

I like my new corsage tee-----but i have to iron after washing it?? oh no!!
love your pearl necklace in this photo, is that jcrew?? loving your blog!!

The tee itself comes out fine, but the corsage petals need an ironing because they come out all wrinkled. I lay the tee flat to dry and press the petals out flat while they are still damp and that does help a bit!
That necklace is actually from American Eagle!

Yes, Mickey~~please do send a gift card! :)

I love the new bright corsage tee. Very eye catching. Charcoal is so beautiful, too.

Oh my goodness, I have to get those t-shirts. And I'm in love with the last outfit. Everything in that outfit I love. I wouldn't have thought of putting that belt with that skirt but it looks good. I really like the blue color with your skin tone. Beautiful outfits...Is that a J Crew necklace you have on in the photos?

those colors are pretty- i walked by the store the other day and the window display was so drab,it didn't draw me in. i agree- why so glum for spring/summer the last couple of months?

You look so great in those corsage t-shirts! Have you tried steaming the petals after washing? It might be less labor-intensive than ironing.

Petunia, I got one in sea breeze and it looks remarkably similar to the aqua one you are picturing. I wonder how much color difference is IRL? Agree that it's a lovely tee, but I am staying away from fitted tops at the moment ( for obvious resoens, hehe).
Think they look fantastic on you! You have such a gorgeous body!

I also love the last outfit you posted - I already have a bunch of those pieces on presale! I can't wait to get them :)

You look great in the corsage tees, thanks for the info about new colors!

I hadn't even seen the new colors yet...gotta get on that!

They look great, by the way. I would suggest wearing a charcoal colored cami underneath the charcoal one to deal with the see-through problem.

Also, that necklace is fab! So Fall!

I bought the new tees in the bright pink, aqua and charcoal.... I love them! I already wore the bright pink one with the watercolor pencil skirt. I also have them in the breeze, amethyst, navy and light brown color. You look great in your photos! I also love the last outfit, especially the ruffle top... so glam!

I like those teeshirts! I'm going there next week, and may have to pick one up!

Funny, I tried the aqua corsage tee this morning and I found it more sheer than in your pic, maybe it was the color of my bra (white). I didn't buy it because I just received the amethyst one that I bought on FS with the 20% off. It's a beautiful color though, finally some brights for the summer!

KK ~~ Thank you! My secret does happen to be two chocolate chip cookies every night (sometimes three)! I don't snack between meals otherwise, and basically just have a fast metabolism.

Hi! Loved the tee on you. I tried the one in charcoal yesterday... Wanted to love it but found the neckline to be a bit too low, so left the store without.
Great to hear it's working out for so many JCAs!

I had my PS look into the gorgeous ruffle top in the last outfit, here is the info:

It is called the Frances Cami and arrives with the August shipments. Style is 17428, $88—comes in ivory, deep rose, light sage, dark slate, autumn sun and misty lavendar. Petite style is 17932.

I already had her pre-order it for me! :-)

Marietta ~~ Thank you!!! I definitely want one, but which color?? Oh, I hope it makes it to my store!

Hi Petunia, I have the corsage tee also and I've put mine in the washer and dryer, it came out great, no ironing needed. Cold water, delicate cycle, of course. The teal color is really pretty on you.

Petunia said...

Ah, that must be my problem! I was wondering how others could be coming out "fluffy"!
I am washing on the gentle cycle in a lingerie bag and then laying flat to dry. I refuse to put any of my delicate stuff in the dryer--I have had one of my favorite JCrew ruffle henleys shrink a little in the dryer!
I'll just have to keep ironing! :)
