I love interior design...

My new home is a work in progress, but if I had my way it would look like this room at Beach Dwelling (http://beachdwelling.com/) right now...

I love light and airy neutrals! My last home had a pale yellow living room, a red-then-beige(because I got tired of the red after trying 3 different shades) dining room, and a brownish-green kitchen! It worked at the time (and I honestly don't know how I ended up with so much color because I really don't like a lot of color), but now I am craving a clean light look, which just happens to work with the new house. Unfortunately my hubby wouldn't let me throw away all of our old furniture and start over (which i think would have made everything a whole lot easier!!) ...so I am redecorating room-by-room as I can. Here's my progress so far:

I am a seashell-nut. I like to place them everywhere I can. Aren't these the prettiest seashells?

that's really your house? holy mother of trophy homes!

it looks awesome--i feel the same way right now about birds that you do about sea shells. it's an unhealthy obsession for me.

Mindi--thanks for being the only person reading my blog! I am not, was not ever, & will not ever be as hilarious as you so I'm not gonna even try. hee hee

If you like light and airy neutrals with a sophisticataed beachy feel you would have loved the hotel we just stayed at in California. L'Auberge Del Mar - just renovated and decorated by Barclay Butera. I have pics on my sight but they don't do it justice. Actually while we were there I went into Williams Sonoma Home and I felt like I was back at the hotel. I LOVE Williams Sonoma Home and if you haven't been in their stores, go to their site and request a catalog. You get all kinds of great ideas. Their summer catalog sounds right up your alley.

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I'm an interior decorator (in my mind) also! It's my total passion.
