Yep--that's what I look like with my dinosaur flip-phone that now sadly happens to be falling apart. I tend to resist new technology in the beginning (before diving head first into it).
So, my question is this -- which should I get -- the iPhone or the Blackberry?? I welcome any and all opinions!
I know that everyone loves their iPhone, but I would like to know a few things:
- Honestly, how is the reception? Does the iPhone (AT&T network) drop a lot of calls? I am hearing this from a few people and it could be a major deterrent.
- How difficult is the touch screen for texting? Would you prefer buttons? Do you hit the wrong key a lot of the time? This is important.
- I've also heard the camera is not so good and only 2mp. Not so important.
- How easy is it to deal with e-mails? I've heard that it jumbles all of your e-mails into one folder (sent & received).
- Any other pros and cons of either would be much appreciated!

So so cute!!
I have a blackberry and LOVE IT. My friend has an iPhone and hates it- so much so he went back to his crackberry. I've never tried an iPhone but those are my .02.
i have yet to convert myself, i still have my flip razor! if i was in the market for a new phone, i would go with the iphone. i just like the look of it better than the blackberry. my husband has a blackberry and i find it so confusing!
i phone or old fashioned agenda with pen and paper works for me, not that I am technologically impaired-
joining the apple brigade soon with my very own i phone. my son loves his.
ps-i don't like the pearl...i have the real mccoy- my sister has a pearl and she goes back and forth on it.
I have a blackberry for work and I guess it's OK for e-mail but I find it awkward as a telephone. I don't have any experience with an iphone but I surely do like how cool they look!
I am seriously considering an iPhone, I am learning about new technology all the time! Petunia please take a look at my new blog, I am asking everyone for comments and feedback.Yours is so cute!
I LOVE my Blackberry! I have the Pearl and the size is great, but I am going to get the new Verizon, international Blackberry this fall. I think it would be easier to have the larger with all the keys. I am not in love with iPhones at all. I can always tell when someone calls me on one because the reception is horrible and they are difficult to hear. They do have many perks though and all my friends that have them are far too obsessed to the point of them always being more into their phones then people around them. However, that is just my personal findings. I would take a BB any day over an iPhone!
the internet on the iphone freezes CONSTANTLY. if you do decide to go with the iphone, definitely get the new 3G. its much faster.
Get the iPhone!!! (or wait for the Google phone- out soon!)
My vote is for the Blackberry...I LOVE mine...plus, it is pink! :)
Hello Petunia, I miss you Rock Star Hubby has the iphone and loves it. Now that you are a Mac girl, the iphone might be the one. I still have a flip phone and might have it for a while, as I am notorious for losing, washing, breaking phones! xoox, Becs
I would go with the Blackberry Pearl (in pink) :) I have heard both good and bad things about the iphone!
You've been tagged!!!!
Having neither Blackberry or Iphone-I am reporting second hand- the iphone seems to be more user friendly according to my co-workers. However, since I work on a college campus- it appears as though the students lean towards the Blackberry.
My campus is the site of the last Presidential debate-perhaps I should survey all the presidential candidates staff and see who gets the best reception!
I'm on Team Blackberry; in fact, I'm replacing my ancient blue one this week with either the pink Pearl or Curve!
One of my best friends has the iPhone, and like many others, has had terrible reception problems with it. It was so bad, in fact, that she went back to her old flip phone for voice & just kept the iPhone for web use.
Good luck with whatever you decide on!
Blackberry! I wanted the pink but the keyboard was too small, so I went with the 8330. I love it.
For the sole fact that the iphone will only allow At&T as its carrier, I would get the Blackberry. I think it's rude of Apple to only allow one carrier. What are they, communists?
And everyone I know who has a Blackberry brand phone loves it. So there you go.
I have a blackberry pearl - this is my second one! I wanted to upgrated to the new GPS edition.
I LOVE my blackberry. I was a nerd and had to get the iphone... i took it back with in the week. Yes it has pretty pictures and fun apps but the reception was terrible - everywhere. On a road trip from Fayetteville to Chicago, I probably had decent reception 25% of the time and even in down town Chicago, it dropped calls like CRAZY!
And the texting - don't even get me started! I'm a world class texter and I could not deal with the touch screen key pad!!!
By looking at the comments, BB is the device of choice!!!
