i hate mondays

Every other day, every other day,
Every other day of the week is fine, yeah
But whenever Monday comes, but whenever Monday comes
You can find me cryin' all of the time!

This is how I feel on Mondays.

I don't usually have that much to say on Mondays because it is the most unsatisfactory day of the week for me. I usually work Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday. Starting on Thursday I revert to a totally different schedule--my schedule--sleeping in and staying up late. I am a night owl by nature. Well, this night owl had to wake up for work this morning at FOUR THIRTY AM!!!!! Arrrrrgh! Blech! Waaaaaaaah! What Einstein thought that a 6AM staff meeting on Monday morning was a good idea??? I have nothing to say at 6AM. It is hardly normal to be awake much less at work at 6AM!

I had to wake up this morning at nearly the time I went to bed on Saturday night!! Well--I don't usually stay up that late, but as I was heading to bed just before midnight Saturday I noticed that Pride and Predjudice was about to begin on the Oxygen channel. I sat down to watch the beginning, and as they say...it had me at hello. I was so taken by this beautiful production that I stayed up until the very end at THREE AM. I had no choice--I was hanging on every word, every scene. What a movie!! I think I need to buy it and then hubby can watch it with me. He is going to love it!! (He may not admit that to you!)

Anyway, what does this all have to do with the stack of magazines above? Um,...nothing really. I just wanted to ask one thing.  All of these magazines were stuffed into my mailbox on Saturday. Now they are all piled on top of my nightstand and on top of the 2 Town & Country magazines that I haven't gotten to yet. My question is this--why do they all have to arrive on the same day???

Ah, yes. I am in the wrong business -- but too late to turn back now! I actually really love what I do but I just don't love waking up at or even before the crack of dawn! I am a RNFA--Registered Nurse First Assistant. I assist my hubby and other surgeons in all types of surgery (I take the place of another surgeon or a Physicians Assistant). :)

OMG I totally hear you! I am a night owl too and 6am is WAY too early! I hope you drank coffee or had something for a pick-me-up!

I don't understand why they all come on the same day- similar deadlines I suppose. Must be a magazine industry thing!

Hey, Pride and Prejudice is TOTALLY worth staying up late for. I'm assuming you watched the A&E version with Colin Firth? It's the best one, by far. Pride and Prejudice is my absolutely number one favorite book. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm sorry that someone was psychotic and scheduled a meeting for 6 a.m. That's just not nice. Unless you can go in pajama pants and a tank top...then it's only partially not nice.

My husband tries to throw some of my magazines away when I'm not looking. SOMETIMES he gets away with it, most of the time I catch him, and then he's in BIIIG trouble!

Poor guy, he absolutely hates clutter.

yes my friend was THAT woman...it was really awful and some of us were shown pictures that really shouldn't have, and it was just awful. My poor kid still doesn't understand- and I don't either.

Anyways what kind of doctor? I just think I tore my calf muscle at tennis...cannot believe it. the pain is unbelievable.

i won't kill you.. :) promise! i didn't hear a pop but I FELT a pop- I don't think it's my tendon (been goggling away) I can touch my achiles and put a little weight on my foot- the side of my calf though is HUGE- looks like a huge knot and it's super hard so i guess it's mostly calf related- 'cause I mean had I torn my tendon I would not even be able to bear any weight I think...right? :) yes yes that's it- just a knot....it's just a knot...right? of course it is!

All of my 3 zillion magazines arrive on the same day too. Conspiracy much, US Postal Service?

By the way, just noticed the New Orleans charm bracelet photo - precious!
